Conundrum

If 40 is the new 30, why is it that 50 is the new 80?

No, no... it's just your feet that are old. Everything else is just fine.

So put them up and keep blogging.

So, 60 is the new...what? holy crap - I'm pissed off that the internet searches can actually show your age. Forget the "can they ask you that?" in a job interview, all they have to do is Google your name. The only way a 60 year old woman is going to get a job by submitting her resume is if she's a physician, nurse, or brilliant physicist!

No No, the 50 year old is the new 50 year old. A mature woman who has seen life, paid taxes, raised children, worked hard - not just 8 or 9 hours a day but 24/7.
She is now at a time of life when she can purr like a kitten or roar like a lioness. She has earned the right to relax, to take part in life at its best and enjoy every moment.
No the 50 year old is not the new 80 year old - she is the new 50 year old.

Well, I am with you! I definitely feel 80 at 50! There are so many things I want to do or would like to do but I just don't have "it" any more. Grant it, I did have breast cancer a few years ago which changed my body for good, but really, I would have never guessed I could feel like this at 50. I still work hard driving a propane truck and delivering propane in the rain, sleet, snow and the bright sun shine. And I still have to young teenage boys at home and doing this as a single parent. I have often thought of going down to the local funeral home and purchasing a "pre-need". I just don't know how long I can keep this up.
